Elementary School Program
All LVUSD schools value a rigorous instructional model where students participate in teacher-directed learning, small group learning, and independent learning. This model allows our instructors to provide individualized support and helps increase engagement.
Elementary school is a time where students learn through social interactions, connections, and through character education. Virtual Academy instructors will provide daily check-ins at a developmentally appropriate length to ensure these ongoing connections. Principals of the students' home school will provide virtual and in-person access to select events to keep students connected.
Below is an overview of the number of minutes involved in Live instruction, asynchronous activities, and independent learning by grade level as well as a sample schedule.
